A Hamilton man who ran a large, but unsophisticated, cannabis-growing operation from his home has been sentenced to two years and four months' jail.
David Eric Hodkinson, 35, a pest controller, appeared in the Hamilton District Court yesterday on three charges of cultivating, possessing and selling cannabis, as well as four charges of unlawfully possessing firearms, including a pump action shotgun.
Police found between $11,000 and $27,000 worth of cannabis and several firearms.
