Morphine nurse charged with fraud

A Hamilton nurse has been remanded without plea on charges of possessing morphine and fraud.

American-born Christopher Joseph Foley, 47, faces charges of possessing the class B drug morphine on December 12, last year, causing a loss of $7500 by deception to Lumley Insurance between December 6 and 17 and using documents - copies of receipts and a schedule of stolen property - to obtain a pecuniary advantage.

Foley will reappear in the Hamilton District Court next month.
