Car veers off road

 A 21-year-old woman was yesterday taken to Thames Hospital after the car she was driving veered off the road, smashing into a sign before toppling down a bank.

The woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle and suffered moderate injuries.

The accident occurred about 2.40pm at the intersection Komata Reefs Rd and State Highway 26 at Komata, north of Paeroa.
