An elderly woman was carried three metres up a ladder by firemen after the vehicle she was travelling in plunged into a roadside drain near Paeroa.
Two patients, one male and one female, were treated for minor injuries by St John paramedics after their car crashed at the intersection of Paeroa-Tahuna Rd and No 1 Rd in Springdale at about 2.25pm.
St John spokesperson Norm Ngatai said the two patients were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Police, along with fire crews from Te Aroha and Tahuna fire attended the accident.
