Illegal party pill selling dairy owner in court
A Hamilton dairy owner charged with selling party pills after they were banned has appeared in court.
Hui Xie, 33, of St Andrews, was remanded at large without plea on charges of selling a psychoactive substance that is not an approved product and possessing a psychoactive substance with intent to sell it on August 14.
More than 2000 packets of synthetic cannabinoid products were seized from the Beerescourt superette during a police sting.
Xie will reappear in Hamilton District Court next month.
