Tokoroa radio station stand-off ends
Manager taken away by ambulanceFLORENCE KERR
The manager of a Tokoroa radio station who barricaded herself in her office following a broadcast alleging financial mismanagement at the station has been taken away in an ambulance.
Raukawa FM station manager Rosina Hauiti had barricaded herself in her office with police giving her a deadline of 3.30pm to come out.
The stand-off came after she took to the air earlier today to broadcast allegations of financial mismanagement at the station, which she claims trustees have done nothing about.
Ms Hauiti was suspended from her employment at the station following the broadcast but refused to leave her office. However, she collapsed and was treated briefly at the scene before being taken away in an ambulance. Her condition is unknown.
Raukawa trustees lawyer Prue Dawson lawyer said the trust had no comment to make.
