A Morrinsville teen described by police as ''recidivist runaway'' has gone missing - again.
Abbey Gibson, who is 15 but has the mental age of a 10-year-old, was reported missing Wednesday night.
Police have asked the public for assistance in locating her.
In August, Abbey went missing from her Waihou home and was found wandering on Forest Lake Rd in Hamilton two days later.
Abbey - who has mild autism - had a ''fascination'' with animals and could often be found in pet stores, police said..
''When last found she had a pet rat with her and last week she had a pet frog with her so we're asking pet store owners to be particularly vigilant and if they think they recognise her to ring 111,'' Senior sergeant Pete Van De Wetering said.
Abbey is described as a female caucasian of skinny build with short brown coloured hair, who wears lime green hearing aids in both her ears.
Abbey was last seen wearing dark green jeans, a black long-sleeved T-Shirt, a purple and white hooded sweatshirt, purple chuck shoes and a green jacket. She was also carrying a purple bag.
Police have asked anyone that knows of her whereabouts to call 111 without delay.
