A farm worker suffered spinal and internal injuries when he was trapped beneath a quad bike today.

At 11:30am the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was sent to a quad bike incident on a dairy farm south of Waitoa. 

A 33-year-old farm worker was trapped under a bike that had rolled over onto him. Other farm staff and local St John staff from Te Aroha rescued him. 

The man was treated at the scene for spinal and internal injuries before being flown to Waikato Hospital for further treatment.
