Three people face charges of giving alcohol to a 9-year-old boy in Hamilton last week.
Two men, 20 and 27, and a 25-year-old woman have been charged with supplying alcohol to minors and will appear in the Hamilton District Court on January 28.
The maximum penalty for this offence is a $2000 fine.
A video of the boy drunk at Fairfield Park was uploaded to the internet last week and has been viewed more than a million times.
Police said the boy had consumed eight cans of pre-mixed bourbon and cola and two liqueur shots.
He was filmed struggling to stand, being abusive and slurring his words.
Police and Child, Youth and Family are supporting the boy and his family.
