Woman cut from car after collision

Morrinsville firefighters used cutting gear to free a woman from her car after it collided with a truck.

The trapped woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Waikato Hospital by ambulance.

Police, fire and ambulance officers were called to the site of the collision about 4pm yesterday on Piako Rd, 8 kilometres from Gordonton.

Ambulance northern communications team manager Olive Taylor said two people were attended to at the scene but only one required hospital treatment.
