Hamilton man denies murder charge
A Hamilton man plans to fight a murder charge laid after a fatal stabbing in the city earlier this month.
Paora Langley, 19, entered a not guilty plea to a charge of murdering 38-year-old Sedrick Tilley Tiatia when he appeared in the Hamilton District Court yesterday.
Langley, a labourer, was emotional as he appeared in the dock as members of
Tiatia's family sat in the public gallery.
Langley was further remanded in custody, however an application for electronically-monitored bail is expected to submitted sometime before his next callover in April.
