The woman was driving towards Raglan township on Wainui Rd when her vehicle left the road just before 11am, constable Julie Cowley said.
Ms Cowley said woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle and suffered minor injuries as a result of her forced exit from the car.
She was taken to the Raglan medical centre by St John Ambulance.
A tow truck started recovering the vehicle, which was on its roof and partly submerged after the crash, at about 12.15pm
