Last week I parked a car in CentrePlace shopping mall. My friends and I went to the movies, had lunch and bought some clothes. Between us, much more than $500. I still had to pay a parking fee, because we were over the three-hour time limit. Then, on Tuesday, I rushed in to CentrePlace to exchange a top. I had to pay $6 to do this. I could have taken the item back to either the Base or Chartwell, which both have free parking. If Hamilton City Council really wants the public to use the CBD then it needs to rethink parking cost. I think the parking fee should reflect what you have spent, not the time you are there.
