It's interesting to see in your Letters to the Editor that others shove the opinion of wastage regarding the rebuild of intersections within Hamilton. Council pays huge amounts to consultants and staff for forward planning, surely one could expect them to get things fairly right.

There have been numerous intersections built at a big cost and rebuilt a short time later.

Lack of forward planning has meant a big cost to ratepayers/ taxpayers. And now the roundabout at The Base entry with its cost in the millions. Maybe when the expressway becomes SH1 in November the alteration is not even needed?
