I am not at all surprised to see councillor Dave Macpherson's photograph on the front page of the Waikato Times on January 29.

He has never lived in Hamilton in the last 15 years, he keeps away from the Hamilton community and goes into hibernation soon after the local elections, but shows up and creates a story when it is time for elections.

He was one of the councillors, when we were put into $39m debt by the V8 closed-door meetings.

Threatening the public is not going to reward anyone. Public calls for resignation were ignored by these councillors.

Now it is time for ratepayers to sack them and put in new blood to see that our rates increase is not more than 2 per cent and that they deliver service to the community by listening to them.
