Restaurants from around the region are challenged to design a dish for their menu utilising the best produce that the Waikato has to offer. Vote for your favourite dish and you could WIN a luxury weekend escape!
As part of the build up to the Waikato Times Food, Wine & Jazz Festival Participating restaurants will feature this dish on their menu from Monday 2 January.
Our challenge to you:
Visit participating Waikato restaurants between Monday 2 January and Sunday 26 February 2012. Then select a Mercedes Benz Ingham Prestige Great Waikato Food Challenge dish off the menu and judge for yourself!

The top restaurants will then progress to the finals to be held in the Kitchen Things Cooking Theatre at the Waikato Times Food Wine and Jazz Festival on the 25th and 26th of February 2012. In February 2011, Public voting and judging selected our finalists who went on to compete in the Kitchen Things Live Cooking Theatre at the Waikato Times Food, Wine & Jazz Festival on Sunday 27th February 2011. The following restaurants made the finals:
