Northern Spirit seam bowler Felicity Leydon-Davis is in line for her White Ferns debut.
Leydon-Davis was one of three Spirit players named in the New Zealand women's cricket squad for their upcoming home series again the West Indies.
The 19-year-old, who is also a handy middle-order bat, is joined in the 14-strong squad by Spirit team-mates Nicola Browne and Morna Nielsen as interim NZ coach Warren Lees looks to bring new talent into the national side.
Leydon-Davis is one of four possible new caps chosen, while Sara McGlashan and Katey Martin come back into the squad after missing out on the tour to the West Indies in October.
Davis has taken 37 domestic one-day wickets at an average of 24.64 while averaging 23.54 with the bat.
Lees said the team has been picked on current form.
"There's a lot of talent coming through in the women's domestic competitions and the performances of some of the younger players have really caught our attention.
"We've rewarded that good form with their selection and look forward to seeing them get to test their skills against a strong West Indies side."
The home tour will see three one-day internationals and five Twenty20 matches played.
Experienced names to miss selection were Amy Satterthwaite, Sian Ruck, Rachel Candy, Lea Tahuhu and Erin Bermingham, along with young Spirit opener Natalie Dodd.
Meanwhile, Black Caps test spearhead Trent Boult will play for the Northern Knights in their seventh round Plunket Shield match against leaders Canterbury Wizards starting in Gisborne tomorrow.
Boult has been declared fit after a thigh strain ruled him out of last week's loss to the Central Stags in Napier and also kept him out of Northern's Twenty20 finals victories.
Seamer James Baker makes way for Boult, who will return to international duty with New Zealand shortly for their two-test series against India.
The Knights have had four players named in the New Zealand XI to play India in a two-day match in Whangarei next month prior to the test series, with Jono Hickey, Anton Devcich, Jono Boult and young batsman Tim Seifert included in the squad.
White Ferns squad: Suzie Bates (captain), Sophie Devine (vc), Nicola Browne, Samantha Curtis, Maddy Green, Holly Huddleston, Hayley Jensen, Felicity Leydon-Davis, Sara McGlashan, Frances Mackay, Katey Martin, Morna Nielsen, Katie Perkins, Rachel Priest.
Northern Knights team: Daniel Flynn (captain), Brad Wilson, Joe Carter, Daryl Mitchell, B J Watling, Bharat Popli, Scott Kuggeleijn, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Graeme Aldridge, Anurag Verma, Trent Boult.
