The US Coast Guard says three Texas boaties missing for a week have been found alive, sitting on top of their capsized boat 290km from land.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Renee Aiello says a Good Samaritan vessel spotted the three in the water off Port Aransas late on Saturday and rescued them.
They were reported missing on August 22 after they failed to return from a fishing trip. They had left for the trip from Matagorda, about 145 kilometres southwest of Houston.
It was not immediately clear when the 7metre catamaran capsized. The Coast Guard had called off its search Friday.
Aiello says the three declined medical attention and were reunited with their families on Sunday.
