Man realises he left wife behind at petrol station only 96km later
A tourist in Brazil who drove off from a petrol stop found himself having to make an urgent turn back, after he realised he had left his wife behind.
By the time he had discovered his grave mistake, he was 96 kilometres away, reported The Telegraph.
The man, identified only as Walter, was returning to Argentina after holidaying with his family in Brazil.
The oversight happened when his wife, who had been sleeping in the back seat, awoke to get cookies from the store as he took a toilet break.

The couple's teenage son did not realise his mother was missing either, as he was too absorbed with playing games on his mobile phone.
According to The Telegraph, the abandoned wife tried contacting Walter but failed to get coverage. Staff at the petrol kiosk called police who took her to a station to be collected by her husband.
As one would expect, she was less than pleased to see him two hours later, and delivered a good kick to his car.
"She was very angry. She was moaning at him for taking so long to realise," said a traffic officer from the Brazilian municipality of Passo Fundo.
"There was no physical assault, but she was more upset when I saw the husband."
