Police in the US claim a bouncer shot dead three of his co-workers because they "punked" him.

Andrew Joseph Lobban, from Ocala, Florida, appeared in court yesterday charged with murdering Josue "Sway" Santiago, Benjamin Larz Howard and Jerry Lamar Bynes Jr.

According to police, Lobban said he shot the men for making fun of him for being a poor shot.

He allegedly told officers that Mr Santiago had filmed him misfiring a gun at a shooting range several weeks ago, and shared the clip with colleagues at Ocala Entertainment Complex.

CBS reported that Mr Santiago had set up the weapon so that it would misfire.

Lobban, 31, allegedly told officers he became embarrassed and angry when the men began laughing and teasing him about the video.

Sergeant Angy Scroble told the Ocala Star Banner: "He just kept harping on that. It really bothered him."

Lobban said he only meant to hurt Mr Santiago but accidentally shot the other two men as well.
