The world has seen Schapelle Corby's face since she left a Bali prison on parole, but it hasn't heard her speak.

The convicted drug smuggler remains holed up in a five-star villa, after being released from Kerobokan Prison on Monday, having served nine years inside.

On Tuesday, it was confirmed the Seven Network was in negotiations to secure her first interview, with staff staying in the same Petitenget resort complex.

But Corby's sister Mercedes released a statement dismissing reports the family would pocket up to A$3 million for any deal.

"If Schapelle feels she wants to tell her story to the Australian public, she will do it with someone she trusts," she said.

"It was never a matter of going with the highest bidder."

Corby went to great lengths to conceal her face on Monday, wearing layers of fabric and a hat.

But on Tuesday, Woman's Day published an image of Corby online, clinking beers with her brother Michael.

She still hasn't spoken to the media.

The 36-year-old has always insisted she is innocent of smuggling 4.2 kilograms of marijuana to Bali in 2004.
