Russia has scored a direct hit by taking first and second places at the World Tank Biathlon, beating off challenges from Armenia, Kazakhstan, and China.

The event held in the Moscow Region is based on the athletic biathlon, with each vehicle trying to finish the 20km course in the shortest time possible, while shooting at targets.They also face obstacles including water troughs and ridges.

All teams competed in Russian T-72B tanks, except the Chinese team who used their own Type-96A tanks.
