Simon Lewis (pictured) and his son Simon Lewis, Jr were killed in a head-on collision on Lamby Way in Cardiff on New Year's Eve.

A porn video was accidentally played for "nearly four minutes" at the funeral of a father and baby who died in a car crash.

Simon Lewis and his son Simon Lewis, Jr were killed in a head-on collision on Lamby Way in Cardiff on New Year's Eve.

His pregnant wife was also in the car with him, and had to undergo a caesarian three days later.

Instead of a video tribute, the hard-core video was played on a large screen at Cardiff's Thornhill Crematorium.

"Everyone was in shock, Simon's father-in-law was furious, he shouted at the staff present and told them to turn it off," an anonymous funeral guest told Wales Online.

"It took them nearly four minutes to turn it off, people couldn't believe what they were seeing".

Reverend Lionel Fanthorpe said told the Independent he was looking at the congregation instead of the TV screen, "but when I heard this noise and members of the congregation moving towards the screen, I realised something was wrong".

However, rather than being on for nearly four minutes, he said the video was "off in seconds".

An investigation was being carried out by engineers of the video screen, which had been disconnected, the BBC reported.

"We are trying to establish if the new screen - which is a smart television - could have accepted or picked up a broadcast by accident via bluetooth or across a Wi-Fi network. The other three screens, which aren't smart TVs, were unaffected," a council spokesperson told the broadcaster.
