Road closed, power pole snapped after crash in Auckland's Onehunga
A car has collided with a power pole in a central Auckland suburb, closing a busy intersection.
A police spokesperson said the crash occurred at the intersection of Captain Springs Rd and Neilson St, Onehunga, at midday.
The concrete power pole snapped on impact and was leaning against a traffic light.
It would not be fixed until "around 8pm", they said.
The road would be closed while repairs were carried out and cordons were in place.
"Motorists are advised to take alternate routes, or delay travel," the spokesperson said.

A spokeswoman for Vector said 27 properties were without power due to the crash.
No-one was injured in the crash.
