Motorists warned to expect 'lengthy delays' after breakdown on Auckland motorway
Authorities are warning motorists to avoid Auckland's southern motorway after a breakdown which caused standstill traffic.
Police said a truck broke down in the the left northbound lane, just after the Papakura on-ramp, about 12.30pm on Saturday.
"Motorists are asked to avoid the area or expect lengthy delays."
The New Zealand Transport Agency said the breakdown would cause congestion and asked motorists to avoid the area or delay travel of possible.

The breakdown was finally cleared about 1.45pm.
