Aaron Carpenter and The Revelators are among a line-up of top bands playing in Oneroa on Saturday night.

A night to remember is promised with a show bringing together five of Waiheke's top bands this Saturday.

Waiheke on the Radio will feature bands from 7pm, including Aaron Carpenter, The Solomon Cole Band, Secret Weapons For Lazy Lovers, Oyawa, and Radio Rebelde.

DJ Sebastien Selknam will keep the crowd at Morra Hall dancing from 11pm on August 19.

The show has been organised as a fundraiser for Waiheke Radio.

"There's a really strong music scene on the island and these bands have individual shows.

"The chance for people to get a taste of all of that in one night will make for an extraordinary evening," Waiheke Radio trustee Chris Walker said.

Aaron Carpenter is known for his country and blues infused rock, while The Solomon Cole Band offers rock, soul and blues based songs.

Radio Rebelde is a nine-piece Latin ska band, Oyawa offer alternative rock and Secret Lessons for Lazy Lovers is a recently formed band featuring Jamie Stone and Nick Douch.

"I expect there will be a lot of dancing on the night," Walker said.

The radio station will use the funds raised to upgrade its online archive that holds nine years of interviews and recordings of Waiheke people, events and issues.
