New slip closes Ngaio Gorge Rd yet again
Wellington's Ngaio Gorge is open again, after yet another slip came down.
Friday morning's slip came just days after a much-larger one up the hill was cleared and the road was reopened to one lane.
The latest slip is about 200 metres further down Ngaio Gorge Rd.
Wellington City Council spokesman Richard MacLean said it was a small slip but rocks were still coming down.

* Multiple slips hamper transport across Wellington
"We're getting some abseilers to go up and check out the slope and remove any further loose material.
"We're hoping to get the road cleared by later this afternoon - but we can't guarantee it at this stage."
The hillside had a long history of slips and the council would take advice from experts about whether more proactive work was needed to stabilise the hill.
The road opened again at 4pm on Friday, the council said.
