Which TV shows should be revived?
OPINION: Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.
You could chalk that up to age, but to be honest, it's probably more the fact that it just seems like all those TV shows we used to know and love are on the way back.
There is a saying that "Everything Old is New again", and certainly if you scan what potentially lies ahead for the TV world, that definitely feels like the case.
Roseanne is coming back for eight episodes and they're even reviving supposedly dead husband Dan Conner.

There's a new series of Will And Grace on the way, and even Jazzy Jeff has hinted that The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air could flip-turn our lives upside down again.
Even David Letterman's coaxed himself out of late-night US chat show retirement to launch a six-episode show on Netflix.
As if that wasn't enough, Fox has revealed that it's looking at the very early stages of maybe bringing back Beavis and Butthead creator Mike Judge's sitcom King of The Hill - and they're even threatening to reboot 24 yet again.
Though this time around, for the third attempt, they're potentially considering ditching the world's worst anti-terrorist organisation CTU. Which is probably just as well, seeing as during the nine seasons of 24 they've done, the unit always seem to have hired people who turn out to be moles. (You'd have expected their background checks may have been a little bit more strenuous to avoid things like this.)
But it's got us thinking about which shows we'd love to see back on our screens.
So listen up, TV bosses, here are a few shows we'd love to have a return of - and if they happen, we'll be in touch to pitch more ideas.
Friends
This one's a bit of a no-brainer, really.
The show about those six friends who all had swankier apartments than perhaps their salaries would ever allow was always phenomenally popular.
It gave the world the Rachel haircut, Joey's iconic "How you doin?", smell the fart acting, Chandler's sarcasm and that monkey a role where it infected the rest of the world as a plague carrier.
There's been endless discussion and speculation about the reunion of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe, but it's not happened yet.
We emphasise the word "Yet" there - could we be any more optimistic?
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Technically, this one never actually ended. It just ended being shown on TV when it was finished in 2003.
But since then, the series has continued albeit in comic book form and various other fan forums.
The original series ended with Sarah Michelle Gellar's Buffy empowering heaps of new Slayers to take on the evils of the world. (Talk about the ultimate in delegation.)
Wouldn't it be cool to have her return and see what happened to her and the rest of the Scooby Gang since the Hellmouth was defeated? Maybe Xander's now in real estate, and Willow's become a teacher?
Top Town
Look, we know TVNZ did another series of this back in 2009, but there's just something iconic about bringing the nation and its various elements together just to have them fight it out on the telly for our entertainment.
It's kind of like a post-modern Roman gladiator sport for us plebs.
Top Town first screened on New Zealand television in 1976, and you'll remember the original Top Town competition took place at a different town each week with all competitions taking place on a local sports field.
As a cool twist, if it did return, you could throw a celebrity from each town into the team's mix and see how they fare.
Just imagine how that would play out...
Seinfeld
For a show about nothing, this one ran and ran.
While the original series of 180 episodes ended with Jerry, George, Kramer and Elaine being thrown into prison for their various crimes against the people they'd offended or irritated through the years, we reckon there's a chance to unleash them back into the world.
Someone may have already beaten us to this one, though.
There's a Modern Seinfeld Twitter account which posts pretty spot on ideas of hwo the show would stack up now amid modern day problems of Netflix, mobile phones and dating apps.
Jerry Seinfeld is in the country this weekend for the first time with his one tour date in Auckland. Maybe we should hit him up and ask what the deal with a revival could be?
Two and A Half Men
God, no, just no.
