Baby Driver star Ansel Elgort falls in love with Auckland's Karekare Beach
Baby Driver star Ansel Elgort says Auckland's Karekare Beach is the most beautiful place he has seen.
The American actor was in New Zealand last week alongside Baby Driver director Edgar Wright for the film's New Zealand premiere. Elgort has documented his travels through his Instagram account.
In Wellington, he went paddle-boarding on Wellington harbour, had a kiss in the rain on the City to Sea bridge, and met Peter Jackson at the Baby Driver premiere at the Embassy Theatre.
But it was Karekare that appeared to have most impressed Elgort, who also starred in teen movie The Fault In Our Stars.
He posted a video of himself taking in the scenery. "This is the most beautiful place I've ever been in my whole life," he said of the rugged West Coach beach. "I feel like this is where I belong."
"I've been a city kid my whole life, and this is like real earth, this was here before we were around ... this is magic," Elgort said.
He posted another picture of himself at the beach saying he was "moving to New Zealand".
