New Avengers: Endgame trailer appears seemingly out of nowhere
A brand new trailer for Avengers: Endgame has been released by Marvel - without any indication it was on the way.
The film, which opens in New Zealand on Anzac Day, is one of the most anticipated cinematic events of the year, and promises to bring closure to some of the oldest-serving cast members, who are expected to move on.
Swathed in a a melancholy vibe with reflections from previous Avengers films throughout, the film hints at what next for the remaining Avengers after Thanos decimated the global population in Avengers: Infinity War.
Starting with Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark recording what appears to be a final message for Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts, the trailer concludes with Thor meeting Brie Larson's Captain Marvel.

There's a lack of information of the storyline in the trailer, but it does reiterate the message that the Avengers will do "whatever it takes" to undo the damage that Josh Brolin's Thanos has done in Avengers: Infinity War, after he appeared to wipe out 50 per cent of the global population.
Reaction to the trailer has been swift, with many poring over it for little details and hints of what may be ahead.
From the Avengers' new white suits, which apparently hint at them tackling the Quantum Realm (last seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp) to Jeremy Renner's new mohican haircut, fans have generally been building themselves into a frenzy.
The new trailer comes just a few days after Captain Marvel was a $225 million box office success bringing in more money than had been previously expected.
