Christian Bale packs on the pies for a new role playing a vice president of USA
Throw your mind back to Christian Bale walking around shirtless in American Psycho, or working out on Batman - and now check out his latest photos.
That's the result of eating too many pies, deliberately. The weight gain is part of a new role the actor is taking on playing George W Bush's Vice-President Dick Cheney in the biopic Backseat.
Bale was barely recognisable at the Toronto International Film Festival this week.
When asked how he piled on the pounds, Bale told reporters: "I've just been eating a lot of pies."

Transforming his body to meet movie roles is nothing new for the 43-year-old actor.
In 2004 he lost nearly 30 kilograms by eating only an apple and a can of tuna a day for The Machinist.
He bulked up muscle mass for American Psycho and the Dark Knightfilms, and gained a pot belly in American Hustle.
Cheney served as Bush's VP between 2001 and 2009.
The film is also to star Steve Carell (who also co-starred in The Big Short') as the former defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
