Epic 1987-style Thor trailer gets laughs from director Taika Waititi
What if Thor: Ragnorak was made in the 80s?
Pop culture news website Nerdist has come to save the day with a 1987 version of a Thor: Ragnorak trailer - and it's outstanding.
Even the Marvel film's Kiwi director Taika Waititi has lost his cool over it.
Via Twitter, the Hunt for the Wilderpeople director gave his nod of approval.

"Congrats to all the Emmy winnWHAT THE F... LOOK AT THIS!!!!!!(sic)" Waititi wrote, with a link to the Nerdist-made trailer.
The trailer plays as if it were on a VHS.
Using those memorable black spot glitches on the tape, the warped sound effects and terribly awful visual effects, Nerdist captured the 80s Thor version perfectly.
"First he brought the Thunder in Thor," the dramatic voiceover declares.
"Then it was hammertime in Thor 2: The Dark World.
"Now he's back to Ragnarok'n roll."
On top of those outstanding cliche lines, even the 80s version of The Hulk makes an appearance.
Thor: Ragnarok comes to New Zealand cinemas on October 26.
