Ben Affleck has been called out after publicly condemning movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Ben Affleck has apologised to actress Hilarie Burton, who accused him of groping her breasts in 2003.

The Batman star was among the first of Hollywood's elite to publicly condemn Harvey Weinstein after numerous women accused the famed producer of rape and sexual harassment.

But Affleck's statement, in which he said the allegations against Weinstein made him feel "sick", has seen the actor come in for criticism of his past behaviour towards women.

Scream actress Rose McGowan, one of Weinstein's alleged victims, called Affleck a liar on Twitter.

Since then, Burton has accused Affleck of groping her breast in 2003, when she was working on MTV show TRL. She was prompted by a fan remembering the incident on Twitter.

Affleck has since apologised for the incident, tweeting: "I acted inappropriately toward Ms. Burton and I sincerely apologize".

Footage has also resurfaced of a bizarre Affleck interview from 2004, in which interviewer Anne-Marie Losique sits in his lap.

Afflect was promoting the film Jersey Girls, which was produced by Weinstein's Miramax and would go on to flop, while Losique worked for Montreal entertainment news show Box Office.

"They would like it better if you did this show topless, the station, wouldn't they?" Affleck asks Losique as she sits in his lap.

"You usually show a lot more cleavage than this. What's the story? Why are you covering it up today?" he says.

When Losique responds that it's "Sunday morning," Affleck insists, "that never stopped you before from getting them ti-ties out. Who you trying to fool, 'Sunday morning'? You could be in church, you should have that rack on display."

"These breasts are really firm, suspiciously firm … they are like two giant stones," he adds.

He appears to twist Losique's nipple at one point and ask if she'd like to create a "Janet Jackson" stunt, alluding to the pop star's infamous nipple-slip at the 2004 Super Bowl. "Are you wearing your nipple ring?" he asks.

He later teases, "All you want to do is have sex all the time. You don't want to talk, you don't want to hold me, you don't want to listen. … I feel used and exploited. I feel undervalued and objectified by you."

Throughout the video, Affleck, who was engaged to Jennifer Lopez from 2002 and 2004, appears to be slurring his speech.

Losique has bragged about her interviews with Affleck in the past. In a 2001 Los Angeles Times article, she said she always sat on his lap during interviews.

"It's something that started a long time ago. Now I'm always on his lap," she said. "I don't have to prepare anything. It's very easy. But I never get to ask him any questions. Never in five years."
