World famous Kiwi performer Tape Face will return to his hometown, Christchurch, for the Buskers Festival next year.

Fresh from his near-conquest of America's Got Talent, Kiwi performer Tape Face will return to his homeland for next year's World Buskers Festival.

Christchurch, where the festival is held, will host the world premiere of Tape Face's new show Under Construction in January 2018. The show was announced by the festival on Tuesday, with a pre-sale taking place over the following "25 hours".

Tape Face, born Sam Wills, has been touring the world following a stint on US reality show America's Got Talent.

The Cantabrian's performances on the show, which combined mime and comedy, made him a fan favourite and he made it all the way to the finale.
