DIY Video-Ombre Rope Basket

Stylish storage with an ombré wrapped-rope basket. 

EQUIPMENT:

Plastic laundry basket
Lightweight fabric
20 metres of rope (or enough to wrap around the size of your basket)
Hot glue gun
Paint

METHOD:

Trim a plastic laundry basket to the desired height.

Cut lightweight fabric into a large square and place it in the bottom of the basket, draping it up and over the sides.

Tuck the edges of the fabric underneath and hot glue to the bottom of the basket to create a lining on the inside.

Attach the end of the rope to the bottom of the basket with hot glue, wrapping and hot glueing all the way around until you reach the top.

Paint the bottom of your basket first and as you work further up there will be less paint on your brush creating the ombré effect.
