'Accidental Wes Anderson' images on Reddit celebrate the surreal
Leading American movie maker Wes Anderson has inspired thousands of would-be directors, who are posting surreal photos on Reddit, under the sub category Accidental Wes Anderson.
Most of these images are not accidental, however. They have been cleverly framed, and often superbly lit. And we suspect a little colour manipulation at times.
There's even a stunning image of the Ratana Church in Raetihi, New Zealand.
What they all have in common is Anderson's sense of stepping into a dream world. There's a strong sense of symmetry to the majority of the images, while others strongly recollect scenes from classic Wes Anderson movies, such as The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Darjeeling Limited.
Visiting this website is like disappearing down a worm hole, with new images added every hour. So in the interests of saving time, we present a collection of the best.
