Yanita's boyfriend Jordan proposed on the rooftop terrace during filming of The Block: Side x Side.

"From the moment we went on our first date I've always wanted to marry you," says Jordan. "Yanita McLeay, will you marry me?"

She nods and Jordan slides the ring onto the wrong hand. "It's all good, though. I'll still marry him," Yanita says.

Her mum and dad arrive on the terrace followed by the rest of the gang, and there's bubbles and cheers all round.

Yanita, who hails from Palmerston North, has teamed with good friend Stace for the show, but it seems the public pick these two to lose, probably because they haven't done well in the room reveals.

Just eight per cent of 10,000 viewers polled on Stuff think the pair will win. The team with the most votes, at 59 per cent is Andy and Nate, followed by Ling and Zing at 18 per cent and Julia and Ali at 15 per cent.

The live auction, on Three, is scheduled for this Sunday night, September 17. And if Yanita does win, she says she will put the money towards her first home, or maybe that should now be "their" first home.
