Road rage takes over Ronnie Pickering as he shouts "Do you know who I am?"

An angry motorist has become pure fodder for tweeters - creating the hashtag #ronniepickering.

An unfortunate motorcyclist recorded his run in with a foul-mouthed driver overcome with road rage near Hull on England's north-east coast.

And now the footage has become a hit on social media.

The YouTube video shows the angry driver in the red Citroen pull up beside the moped and yell abuse, including asking several times "Do you know who I am?".

"What?" replies the biker.

"Do you know who I am?" the driver repeats.

"Come on, who are you then?"

"Ronnie Pickering."

"Who?"

"Ronnie Pickering!"

"Who the f--k's that?" says the motor scooter driver.

"Yeah, me," says Ronnie with all the self-assurance of a man who knows exactly how important it is to be a Ronnie Pickering.

"Oh, well. Brilliant!" says the exasperated motorcyclist, before ridiculing Ronnie: "You someone famous, are you?"

Clearly affronted by the motorcyclist's lack of respect for him, Ronnie Pickering accelerates after the moped driver before the two pull over again.

Now the argument continues over Ronnie Pickering's wife, who has the weary look of a woman who has heard the Ronnie Pickering routine far too many times.

This time, Ronnie Pickering isn't simply content with a war of words and challenges the scooter rider to a "bare-knuckled fight" in the street.

"I'll f--king show you then who I am!" he bellows out the window.

So maybe this northern Englishman is a famous boxer? No.

According to The Telegraph, Ronnie Pickering is a 54-year-old father of one from Hull, with a fondness for fishing and gardening.

He lives in a two-bedroom council flat with two blue benches where his neighbours said he enjoys a bit of sun.

A sign on his gate reads: "Wanted good woman. Must be able to clean, cook, sew, dig worms and clean fish. Must have a boat and motor. Please send picture of boat and motor."
