Navy catches boat illegally fishing off coast of Fiji
The Royal New Zealand Navy has caught a vessel illegally fishing for the second time in two months.
The crew on the HMNZS Hawea came across the vessel off the coast of Fiji, Newshub reports.
The vessel had a run-in with the New Zealand Navy last month when it was caught fishing without a permit or a license.
"It's likely their catch will be seized and their fishing equipment and possibly their boat as well," Sub-Lieutenant Julian Grimmett told Newshub.
Chillers were found on board with 144 kilograms of illegally caught barracuda and giant trevally Newshub reports
