Man falls 10m and injures leg at Piha beach
A man fell about 10 metres from rocks part way up an Auckland beach this morning.
The man in his 50s was in a serious condition and was being transported to Auckland City Hospital, an Auckland rescue helicopter spokesman said.
A local source said the man had fallen from a rocky hill part way up North Piha Beach on October 6 about 9.15am.
It was a rock about "half way between the caves and the end of the beach" which had power pole on top of it.
