The house on Kauri Place, in Mahora, Hastings, where a woman was injured in a bedroom fire. She died on Monday in Hawke's Bay Hospital.

A woman who was critically injured in a fire in Hastings nine days ago has died in hospital. 

The woman suffered the injuries in a bedroom fire early on the morning of October 1. She had been in Hawke's Bay Hospital in intensive care until she died on Monday morning. 

The woman, in her early 30s, was found in a bedroom in a house in Kauri Place, in Mahora. 

A police spokeswoman said the fire was not considered suspicious and her death had been referred to the voroner.
