'Medical event' kills man in North Shore Hospital car park
The death of a man in the car park of an Auckland hospital was caused by a medical event, police say.
The man was in a car that crashed into a tree on the grounds of North Shore Hospital on Monday.
"An elderly male received CPR at the scene but unfortunately has died," a police spokesman said at the time.
On Tuesday, a police spokesman said the man had died as the result of a "medical event".
However, "it's not clear if it was the cause of the crash or the result of the crash", he said.
Full post-mortem results were expected to be released on Tuesday.
