A woman has been arrested after allegedly smashing windows and stabbing a man, in one of two unrelated stabbings in Auckland overnight.

Two people were in hospital following the Wednesday night incidents.

Police were called following reports of a male with serious stab wounds at a house in San Pedro Place in Henderson at 11.30pm.

They found the victim walking around and able to talk.

A spokeswoman said police were speaking to witnesses and following lines of inquiry.

Ten minutes after the first callout, police were called to a domestic incident in Epping St in Glen Innes.
