Like a boxer primed for a fight, Prime Minister Bill English watched Team NZ win the America's Cup.

The slightly awkward video, released by English on Facebook, showed him watching the end of the last race, fists raised.

As Team NZ crossed the line to claim the trophy, he yelled "yes! yes!"

The Kiwis closed out the Cup match against Oracle Team USA in dominant fashion, winning race nine by 55 seconds to secure a 7-1 series victory.
