If you're on the hunt for a holiday home, pause for a second - why not buy a holiday village?

A tiny village on the Isle of Skye, in the inner hebrides of Scotland, is on the market.

According to The Independent, Mary's Cottages are up for sale for about £1.25million, or about NZ$2.2 million.

The cottages are being sold as a lifestyle business.

The estate includes four thatched cottages, a five-bedroom main house and a barn-size shed.

The cottages are traditional Scottish blackhouses, The Independent reported.

Two have been restored from ruins, and two others have been newly built, the report continued.

All have vaulted ceilings and underfloor heating, with the main house much more contemporary, The Scotsman reported.
