A power has been damaged in Hillcrest after a vehicle crash.

Power has been cut in south Hamilton after a car crashed into a power pole.

A car crashed into a power pole on Cobham Dr and Johnsview Tce at around 4:30.

No-one was injured, and the car had been towed, a police spokesperson said.

Power is expected to be reconnected to affected houses by 7pm.

Power is expected to be reconnected to affected houses by 7pm.

According to WEL Networks' website, power would be restored the Hamilton suburb of Hillcrest by 7pm.

The outage was affecting houses on Cambridge Rd, Cobham Dr, Howel Avenue, Johnsview Tce, Malcom St, McCracken Avenue, Riverlea Rd, and Weston Lea Dr.

No-one was injured in the crash, and the car has since been towed.
