The most famous photo of a child in 2015 is of the body of a Syrian-Kurdish toddler washed up on a beach in Turkey.

It was an image of the human tragedy of Europe's migrant crisis, one of many causes of misery around the world.More people were displaced from their homes this year than at any other time since World World II.

United Nation's children's charity Unicef has released photos of the children in some of the 190 countries it works, showing their lives in conflict zones but also just being children.
