Coronavirus: Recovered Spanish Covid-19 patients go to the beach

Spanish patients recovering from Covid-19 are heading to the beaches to complete their transition back into normal life.

It's part of a push from Intensive Care Units in Barcelona to humanise the victims of the pandemic.

In total, Spain has confirmed 239,932 infections and 27,127 deaths.

The government has slowly begun to ease what was one of Europe's most restrictive lockdowns.

At one point, people were banned from even leaving their homes to exercise.

Spain's suffered during the pandemic, seeing in record numbers of deaths early on as the virus took hold in Europe.

At the end of March, it reported record fatalities with 832 deaths in one day alone.

However, Spain has brought its outbreak under control in recent weeks.
